Outside on the street, people walk to work.

Customer: Give me two.

Lian checks her phone while walking.

Lian: Zero messages… not surprising.

A news alert suddenly appears.

News Alert: Unusual attacks reported in several districts.

Two strangers nearby are talking while watching their phones.

Stranger: Did you see the videos?

Friend: What videos?

Stranger: People saying monsters appeared last night.

Friend: Monsters? That's internet nonsense.

Inside a small convenience store.

Naro: Morning.

Lian: Morning.

Naro: You look tired.

Lian: Didn't sleep much.

TV Reporter: Authorities are asking citizens to remain calm after several violent incidents overnight.

A man rushes into the store.

Customer: Did you see that thing outside?!

Naro: What thing?

Customer: Something attacked a man near the alley!

Lian: A dog?

Customer: No… it wasn't a dog.

Silence fills the store.

Later that day, Lian walks through the hallway of her apartment building.

Lian: What a weird day.

A door opens.

Kiera: You heard those noises outside earlier?

Lian: Yeah. Someone said something attacked a guy.

Kiera: People online are saying monsters.

Lian: Monsters?

A distant scream echoes from outside.

A loud crash shakes the street.

Lian: That's not an animal.

Lian: Do you hear that?

A loud bang shakes the entrance door downstairs.

Unknown Resident: LOCK THE DOORS!

Another Resident: WHAT IS THAT THING?!

Lian looks toward the stairway.

Lian: This building… isn't safe anymore.
